A fireman visits Junior & Senior Infants

Ahead of Halloween next week we were very lucky to have a fireman visit our Junior and Senior Infant assembly today! David works for Dublin Fire Brigade and taught us all about fire safety. He told us how important it is to stay with a grown up on Halloween night and how we should stay away from fires and fireworks as they can be dangerous. If using sparklers we should hold them very carefully and put them down once they have gone out. He gave us a great idea of sticking a sparkler into a carrot to make it easier to hold the sparkler and a lot safer! He also reminded us how fun Halloween can be and that there will be a safe and organised firework display at Balbriggan beach on Halloween night!

We hope every one has a fun and safe midterm break whatever you get up to!
