Mrs. Yeates’ Junior Infant class of 2020/21 were exploring the work of the American artist Wayne Thiebaud. Inspired by his art the children recreated a piece of American-themed and colourful art using pom-poms and pegs to print colourful Gumball machines.  Mrs. Yeates entered her class into an art competition advertised by Friends of Autism and ADHD LTD.

Friends of autism and ADHD recently moved into a new office with magnolia painted walls and needed these walls brightened and the Junior infant’s art piece won a place on their wall.   Mrs Yeates accepted the prize and framed Art for the school.  Well done to Mrs Yeates’ class for such a fantastic achievement!  We at Scoil Chormaic CNS would also like to thank Niamh Doyle and Carmel McKeown from Friends of Autism and ADHD for such a lovely, generous gift of art supplies and sweets, which we will look forward to creating more fabulous art in the coming weeks.
