EGG-citing days before Spring Break!

The past month has been very busy for the children in Ms. Farrell’s class. We finished off March with an exciting egg hunt!! All eggs were labelled with the children’s names to make the egg hunt Covid safe. The children searched high up and low down for the hidden treasures!

The children also planted lots of fruit and vegetables this month. We are so excited to be taking part in the Incredible Edible’s programme where we have had the opportunity to plant strawberries, potatoes, chives, carrots, lettuce, spinach and turnip. Keep a close eye on Ms. Farrell’s updates to watch our produce grow!!

A huge thank you to Ms. Tracey for bringing in tadpoles for us to examine and study! We learned about the lifecycle of a frog and were fascinated to see tadpoles in real life!

Seachtain na Gaeilge was a huge success in 1st class! The children enjoyed taking part in art competitions and a quiz. Dress up day was very exciting and we had some really unique and interesting outfits! Well done to the girls and boys who won prizes during the week!

Hooray for Spring and daffodils!! We were delighted to see the daffodils we planted last Autumn now in bloom! The look so pretty dancing in the wind!
